Gallery

You can view photos stored in the refrigerator’s built-in memory or on an external USB memory device. Depending on the indexing time, the refrigerator may take some time to display or fail to display all the thumbnail images of photos stored on the external USB memory device. The indexing time depends on the size and number of images.

To access the Gallery app

On the Home screen, tap the Gallery app.

NOTE

The design of the app and the controls may differ depending on your settings and software version. If you have deleted the app from the Home screen, tap Apps and then tap the app to add it back to the Home screen.

To add photos

  1. Access the Gallery app.
  2. Open the upper right side door of the refrigerator, and then insert a USB memory device into the USB port on the top of the door. Photos stored on the USB memory will be listed by folder on the album list screen.A USB icon will appear in the lower right corner of the albums.
    NOTE
    • For some refrigerator models, you must remove a plastic cover to expose the USB port.
    • Be careful inserting the USB memory stick. The panel reset button is in the same area.
    • The Family Hub refrigerator supports USB memory that is formatted in the FAT32 or exFAT file system. NTFS is not supported. Be sure to convert NTFS to FAT32 or exFAT before using.
  3. Tap an album marked with the USB icon. The preview images of the album photos will be displayed.
    • Swipe the photos up or down to scroll through the photos.
  4. Tap More , and then select photos you want to add to Family Hub.
  5. Tap Copy to Another Album or Move to Another Album .
    • Copy to Another Album: Photos in the USB storage device will be copied to the other album. The originals will remain in the USB storage device.
    • Move to Another Album: Photos in the USB storage device will be moved to the other album. None of the photos will remain in the USB storage device.
  6. Select an album you want to move the photos to.
    • Make sure to select an album in Family Hub.
    • To add the selected photos to a new album, tap Create Album, and then enter the name of the new album.
  7. Tap Copy or Move.

To run a slideshow

  1. On the Gallery app's screen, tap an album.
  2. Tap Play Slideshow . The slideshow starts.
    • To stop the slideshow, tap the Return button. The thumbnail screen reappears.
    • To pause the slideshow, tap the screen.
    • To resume slideshow, tap .
    • To set the transition effect and transition interval, pause the slideshow, and then tap , which appears when the slideshow is paused.

To delete a photo

  1. On the Gallery app's screen, tap an album.
  2. Tap More or tap and hold the thumbnail image.
  3. Select the photo you want to delete.
    • Tap Select All if you want to delete all the photos.
  4. Tap Delete . A dialog box appears.
  5. Tap Delete. The photos you selected are deleted.

To add an album

  1. On the Gallery app's screen, tap Add .
  2. Enter the name of the album.
  3. Tap Create.

To rename an album

  1. On the Gallery app's screen, tap an album.
  2. Tap Rename Album .
  3. Change the name of the album.
  4. Tap Rename.

To delete an album

  1. On the Gallery app's screen, tap More or tap and hold the thumbnail image.
  2. Select the album you want to delete.
    • Tap Select All if you want to delete all the albums.
  3. Tap Delete . A dialog box appears.
  4. Tap Delete. The albums you selected are deleted.

To move photos from one album to another

  1. On the Gallery app's screen, tap an album.
  2. Tap More or tap and hold the thumbnail image.
  3. Select the photo you want to move.
    • Tap Select All if you want to move all the photos.
  4. Tap Move to Another Album .
  5. Select an album you want to move the photos to.
    • To move the selected photos to a new album, tap Create Album, and then enter the name of the new album.
  6. Tap Move.
