Initial settings

Before using Family Hub for the first time, you must complete the initial settings.

  1. Select the language.
  2. Read and agree to the Terms of Use.
  3. Tap NEXT to go to the next step.
  4. Select your network, and then tap NEXT.
    • If you cannot or do not want to setup a Wi-Fi connection, tap SKIP to move to the Home screen.
    • To use all of Family Hub’s functions, you must set up a Wi-Fi connection.
    • You will need your Wi-Fi network password if your Wi-Fi network is secure.
  5. Enter your Samsung Account information, and then tap Sign in.
    • If you do not have a Samsung Account, tap Sign Up to create one.
    • If you do not want to sign in to your Samsung Account, tap SKIP to move to the Home screen.
    • To use all of Family Hub’s functions, you must sign in to your Samsung Account.
      NOTE

      If you sign in with a Samsung Account you have used on any other Family Hub refrigerator, your profile will be loaded automatically.

  6. Enter your cell phone’s phone number, and then tap Connect.
    • If you do not want to pair your device, tap SKIP to move to the Home screen.
    • You can pair your device later on using Settings - Profile.
  7. Enter the authentication passcode sent to your phone, and then tap OK.
  8. Create your profile.
    • Enter a screen name, select an avatar, select a color, and then tap NEXT.
    • Enter your information, and then tap DONE.
    • This is your Primary profile. It cannot be deleted. You can only sign out of the Primary profile. Signing out of the Primary profile resets Family Hub.
  9. Register your Voice ID.
    • If you do not want to register your Voice ID, tap SKIP to move to the Home screen.
    • You can register your Voice ID later on using Settings - Profile.
  10. Tap Add to add a family member’s profile.
    • If you do not want to add a family member's profile, tap DONE and then go to step 11.
  11. Tap DONE.
    • You are ready to use Family Hub.
